Hello everyone, my name is David and I am a native of Harbin. I am currently studying at Nanyang Technological University and I will be graduating next year. My study journey started back in 2015 when I came to Singapore to take the AEIS examination. That was also the time that I first met my English tutor, Mr Heng. At that time, I was studying at a private school because I needed to have a student pass to stay in Singapore. But I depended on Mr Heng for my English. Unfortunately, there was insufficient time and I did not pass my AEIS exam. After I returned to China, I decided to join a tuition school in China to prepare for my next AEIS exam but it was totally useless and I failed again.
However, I was determined to pursue my study in Singapore but I had given up the idea of studying in a government school and went to study at private school instead. I reconnected with Mr Heng to continue my English tuition with him. It is not easy for students from private school to pass their O level at their first attempt. Majority do not pass their O level examination. I was among the few who got very good results and managed to qualified for a good course in information technology in Singapore Polytechnic. I have to tell you that I had studied very hard. I was very determined to get good results. After I graduated from polytechnic, I continued to pursue my education at Nanyang Technological University.
At this point, I like to tell you more about my previous English tutor, Mr Heng, whom I still keep in touch. I managed to pass my O level English probably due to his coaching and now I am collaborating with him to help students to study in Singapore. For any Chinese student planning to come to Singapore to further his or her studies, my advice is take the AEIS examination and get into a Singapore government school. The AEIS examination is not easy to pass but it is also not difficult if you can get the right experienced tutor to teach you. When you study in a government school, your chance of passing the O level and going to junior college or polytechnic is about 80% but if you go to a private school, your chance is only 20% or less.
My ex-English tutor has more than 15 years of tuition experience. He is also a reliable and responsible tutor. He has helped many students to pass the AEIS examination.
